WideLoaders are horizontal aluminum load-shelves that provide a perfect platform for carrying big boxes and bulky objects too big for the FreeLoaders alone. Each WideLoader is constructed of 6000 series heat treated and anodized aluminum, a stainless steel index pin, and nylon sling. Wideloaders are now sold as pairs, and packaged with the Cargo Van Kit

WideLoaders slide and lock in place with a push-button. When not needed they can be removed and stowed compactly in a FreeLoader, or left at home. Wideloaders are fully compatible with the KickBack kickstand. Watch a video of their installation under the “Media” tab on this page.

WideLoader’s modularity is key to keeping your Xtracycle light, nimble, and capable. (Shown as a pair with two V-racks and a SnapDeck, which are not included or required, but highly reccomended.) Though the FreeRadical can handle most loads without a WideLoader, they are absolutely essential to getting the full cargo carrying potential out of your S.U.B., and they also make it just plain easier to load heavy or big items. When you really need them, you’ll be really glad you have them.

Running a WideLoader on your Xtracycle will prohibit the use of Footsies on the side your WideLoader is installed. However, you can use the forward bar of the WideLoader as a passenger footrest.

Note: Right and Left WideLoaders each function on both sides of the FreeRadical. On one side the logo and fabric of the sling are face up; on the other, face down.
